This Weekend in Relays (11.6.09)

November 6, 2009

As the cold rains have been closing in this week, I’ve been thankful that I don’t have a relay to run this weekend.  Hopefully the weather will be a bit drier where these races are taking place:

Haney to Harrison
A popular 100k (62 mile) road relay starting in Fraser Valley, British Columbia, the Haney to Harrison is also hosting the 100k ACU (Association of Canadian Ultrarunners) National Championships, making for a fantastic weekend of running. Designed for teams of 8, the course features just 8 exchange points, so each runner is running approximately 8 miles each.  The course features some steep hills in the first half and plenty of scenery as it passes through the green farmlands of the valley.  Registration is capped at 350 teams for this race, and it does sell out.  A finish line at the Agassiz Agricultural Hall complete with dancing wraps up the race.

Shorter Relays
Saturday
MDA Muscle Team Challenge, Philadelphia, PA (30k Corporate or Family Challenge)

Sunday
Harrisburg Marathon Relay, Harrisburg, PA
