Sorry for the hiatus last week, but I was off in the woods of Oregon, cramming a summer’s worth of camping in to one week. I’m back now, ready to dive into the world of relays once again. The great thing about unplugging for a week is that you come back full of ideas, and I have all kinds of ideas about new content I can develop for this site. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, I have results from the Ragnar Great River relay that took place over the weekend. 216 teams lined up for this 195 mile relay from Winona, WI to Minneapolis, MN. The scenic course, which follows the Mississippi River most of the way, offered teams plenty of opportunities for fast running, bonding, and sleep deprivation. Conquering all the elements and the other teams to win the whole thing was the Duluth Running Company, averaging a pace of 6:13 for a total time of 19:57:13. 12 inches captured the Open Men’s title with a time of 20:13:46 (good for 2nd place overall) while the Copper Country Running Club took the Open Women’s title in a time of 23:45:22 (an impressive 7:24 pace). In the Mixed Open division, MNRed (Big Bad Wolves) brought home the hardware with a time of 21:35:19. More top results:
